Ranbir Kapoor in Raajneeti

Raajneeti is an Indian film released in 2010. It is written by Prakash Jha and Anjum Rajabali while directed by Prakash Jha. The movie is research based on the political anarchy and has an allegorical resemblance with Mahabharta and Godfather.

Prakash Jha proves to be an excellent researcher and director as it is hard to find any loophole in the story. The pace of the film and environment keep you still bound to see what happens next although after few scenes we get its intimation with Mahabharta and interpret even the end yet the curiosity does not dissolve till the end. The reason that compels the viewer not to leave the cinema is the movie cast and their first rate acting. All the characters perform their role with accomplishment and full command over the script.

Raajneeti is the cinematography of a political party divided into two after the main leader paralyzed. The quarrel starts as to who will be the rightful heir but elder was expecting it automatically. Among expected is elder son’s heir Vereendra but the youger one gets the ticket as Prithivi Prataap (Arjun Rampal) is making the party. Samar Pratap (Ranbir Kapoor) is the brother to Prithivi Prataap and is not willing to take part in politics. Sooraj Kapoor (Ajay Devgan) is the illegitimate brother of Samar and Prithvi. The story is quite interpreted because of Mahabharta and Godfather. The only reason is the acting.

All the characters play their respective roles very well. Ranbir although is not showing any rigorous acting but his calculative attitude and decisive steps to promote his part are so convincing and the character suits him so well that he really win the awards for movie. Not only he but all the cast deserve to win award on their roles to be enacted to brilliantly. Ranbir feels in every action from the start of his role to the end how he makes his lover Kareena put into politics to play the role for Prithvi, her chosen husband by Ranbir.
