Race is a Hindi movie released in 2008. It is written by Shiraz Ahmed and directed by Abbas n Mastan Co. The Race is representing Horse Race in the film and you find fixed racing in which two brothers Ranvir (Saif Ali Khan) and Rajiv (Akhshay Khanna) are the main characters who are in fact stepbrothers. Dalip Tahil is the second big competitor in Horse race.
The Race is also between two brothers again in case of taking insurance policy of 100 million dollars which is placed in if any brother died. Elder brother Ranvir is ruthless for winning the race yet cares for his younger brother Rajiv who is chronic alcoholic. We see this when Rajiv asks for Sonia (Bipasha Basu) whom Ranvir was personally interested but he stops his affair with her. Sophia (Katrina Kaif) is the lover cum secretary of Ranvir but he considers her affection as sincerity.
Thrill, excitement, fear and chill feelings are some of the expressions which develop with the start of film. Horse racing, murder planning, blasting, intriguing are seen at every next moment. No moment spend when a new stone turned to show a new aspect. Inspector RD enters on the scene to solve the mystery of murder attack on Ranvir.
Inspector RD (Anil Kapoor) when starts its investigation the whole plot seen upward down as nothing was like we were thinking about the characters. It is also true that 100 million dollar is enough to astray anybody from right path. We get struck when we find Sophia being part of the murder plan against his lover. However we convince as Ranvir ignores her love and prefers Sonia. Sonia who becomes the part of plan also surprises us. Our mind starts spinning when we find younger brother as the original murderer. One after another we see all of the characters involved in the murder case. But still the suspense is there and makes the end a very mean, dodgy and culprit.
Akshay Khanna and Saif Ali Khan are the real sources of thrill and sensation in the film. Bipasha and Katrina no doubt perform well and also they are the source of entertainment between murder, intriguing and racing. Bipasha is not more than a sex thing as usual but Katrina has got the margin of performance. In Men-centered film females are there for the love and care to harmonize the impact of movie. Anil Kapoor is true source of suspense in the movie. We later find that it was actually he who makes the murder case more complicated and create confusion by throwing dust in the eyes of Rajiv as well as spectators. He misleads the whole case towards wrong direction because he makes a deal with Ranvir for 25 milion dollars.

Anil Kapoor is back in industry after a visible gap and in totally new style. He seems more energetic and enthusiastic. However, this style is not impressive if critically analyzed. This style is OK for the real life but his film face should be sober and serious with little fun. This way of talking and dealing present him flirty which is not good for the long term reputation.
