Kareena Kapoor in Kyun Ki

Kyun Ki… is a Hindi Movie released in 2005. It is written by Sanjay Chhel and directed by Priyadarshan. The story is about a girl who become mentally retorted Because (kyun ki) her love is treated brutally and ruthlusly by her own Father. This is the total plot of the story which makes a somewhat complicated drama. The story starts with the love relation shares by Anand (Slman Khan) and Maya (Rimi Sen) which follows the quick death of Maya and Anand loses his mental balances because of guilty as Maya falls by him into pool not knowing she does not know how to swim.

Succeeding scenes are Anand bringing by his brother to mental hospital and Anand’s interaction with Dr. Sunil (Jackie Sharoff) and Dr. Tanvi Khurana (Kareena Kapoor) first happened to be his childhood friend and later develops sympathy for him. The story takes a new turn now Tanvi is attracted towards Anand and struggle hard to cure him and new love story begins as

Anand accepts this change in his life. The problem rise when Tanvi’s fiancé Karan (Sunel Shetty) appears on the scene and Tanvi’s father Dr. Khurana (Om Puri) rejects Anand. Karan frees Tanvi from his bond but her father goes to his maximum extent of evil making Anand lobotomized by injecting wrong injection. He is an evil incarnate in the form of Healer. The film has tragic end of killing Anand by Sunil who finds it better to kill him instead of worst life. Eventually, his daughter becomes mentally retorted.

Cast is impressive and hopefully film could be a hit but two reasons of its failure are quite obvious;

Borrowed story from Hollywood decrease the worth of movie because its predictability and ditto copy of that movies lost all the interest as what happen next. Audience becomes desperate to leave cinema instead of wasting time.

Salman’s artificial acting. May be after receiving continuous success makes him over confident results him bad result. The impact could be better if he stops making faces like a monkey and performs his role seriously.His non serious attitude spoile the whole current in story. He is is least form of receiving audience sympathy when he loses his first love and when his second love was snatching by him.

Jackie Sharoff in doctor role is convincing as it suits to his personality and after a long time we are seeing him in a reasonable role. Sunil Shetty guest appearance is good and he succeeds to make impression during his little appearance. Kareena performance is also average as she in a serious role is seemed alien. She tries to adopt the character of Tanvi to its better level yet it is far convincing. She is lacking enthusiasm of youth and her dialogue delivery is also not impressive. On the whole story fails to make an impression. Kareen gets the margin as she performs according to the script and her behavior has the excuse of hierarchal from the parental side. This increases her credibility as a good actress as well.
