Aishwarya Rai in Jodha Akbar

Jodha Akbar

Jodha Akbar is a Hindi movie released in 2008. It is written by haider Ali and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker is the heavy budget film. The luxury costumes, luxurious locations and luxury cast are all the ingredients to make the film something best ever produced in the Bollywood history. First impact of the film is as historical narration while later on it appeared as story of two hearts. This film is having political base of the love edifice.

Aishwarya Rai in Jodha AkbarAlthough it was a risk to make such a biased film as there are different versions of the history of Akbar. Jalaluddin Akbar is a magnificent king of sixteenth century. He was conquering the fields of Hindu Kush, Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal yet more extended to the Narmada River. To make the country environment peaceful Akbar intended to marry a Rajput Princess Jodhaa (Aishwarya). Here develops the love story as Jodha shows resentment against this marriage and putt two conditions on front of Akbar.

The story proceeds with the involvement of Akbar to this princess. Different scenes and songs worthy enough to be praised like Jodha’s interest in learning, Jodha’s capability to sword fight, her determination and rest of all the development of Jodha’s interest in the straight forward personality of Jalaluddin Akbar are excellent. Similarly songs like Jashn-e-Baharan and ‘Azeem-o-Shahensha’ are magnificient and leave impact on the listener. Rest of all the characters like Akbar;s courtesans and motherly cook are delineated with perfection and they do their best to give authenticity to the dialogues.

Ashwarya Plays beautifully the role of Jodha and her obstinate attitude in the beginning and then change behavior are really impressed the audience. But the film gets banned in Rajhistan due to political misconception about this love story. So many harsh reviews based on its story and falsely narrating rather exaggerating some of the events in this film truly call the critics and spectator to argue with Director Ashutosh and write Haider Ali. Despite all this critics and other faults lie with the film succeeds to hit the Bollywood Box Office.
