Aishwarya Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam

Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam is Hindi movie released on May 2002. It is written by Ashok Mehta and the director is Adiyaman. The starring of the film is consists of Shahruk Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarys Rai. Here one thing must be clear that Aishwarya plays a guest role however the stronger one as the climax of story happens due to her appearance. In spite of the fact that cast is strong the film is not one of the box office hit. The reason is not the cast or on the part of director rather poor cinematography and the poor editing are the cause of its failure.

This film Hum dil de chuke sanam is truly portaray the title as both the heroes are already committed to their lovers as both the heroes are of their own beloveds, yet a sort of confusion develop and the plot of the story becomes complicated. It seems the appearance of Aishwarya readily makes as guest appearance to develop the story in a better way. This techniques works and the audience remain in confusion throughout the film as to see how the wind blows.

The story is about Radha (Madhuri) and her brother Prashant living in the house of Gopal (Shahrukh) who is abroad studied and employed with his guardian. After his parents died, Dev Narayan (Alok) takes care of him and his property and knows very well that he love Radha. With the consent of Radha, Dev makes it possible and put them in marriage relation. Radha and Gopal love each other but Gopal becomes susceptical towards Radha and Suraj’s (Salman Khan acting as a superstar singer) friendship and spoil his marriage by sending Radha away from him. Radha is very anxious as she is not clear about the reason for Gopal’s worst reaction. She thinks that her husband is a broadminded present generation fellow but here she fails. Gopal has a traditional male superiority phobia and is of view that his wife only gives time to him and should leave other friendship. However he completely hides his feeling not to be called a person with complex.

The confusion persists even after Suraj’s struggle to make Gopal inclined towards Radha. Gopal FROwed and dismisses the meeting. Suraj tells Gopal’s thinking to Radha and Radha feels ashamed of her relation with Suraj and weal and woe on the situation arises because of her friendship with Suraj. The confusion resolved after Suraj shares his friend’s (Radha) problem with Suman( Aishwarya). She arranges a meeting with Gopal and brief all the situation and makes him clear that she love Suraj but does not suspect Suraj and Radha relation as she understand well about their childhood friendship.

One can say that even appearing in the guest role Aiswarys wins the attention of audience as she comes with strong argument and the relation of Gopal and Radha cannot be resolved if she hesitated like Suraj to tell her and Suraj relation to Gopal. Here one feel apprehension as why Suraj hesitates to expose his and Suman relation to anyone not to his Friend Radha. May be he thinks that all of his community will disregard his love for a blind girl (Suman) while he deserves better one. Although the theme of the film seems worn out yet it is the most sensitive issue of a society. The film could win the spectators heart if it would be filmed with care and attention. As the dialogues were sometime over acted and somewhere lose their impact.

Music of the film is good as all the songs were situational but the tension of the story would not allow enjoying the music and especially the wrong camera focusing disgust the emotions of the audience.
