Aamir Khan unveils promo of his upcoming flick

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan unveiled one-minute promo of his much talked about film, 'Ghajini' on the festival day of Diwali, considered to be auspicious for all new ventures, in entertainment capital Mumbai on Tuesday.

'Ghajini', directed by A. R. Murugadoss, also stars actress Asin Thottumkal, and second leading lady Jiah Khan. A. R. Rahman is scoring the music for the film.

It is a Hindi remake of Murugadoss's Tamil film with the same title.

Khan said that the film, which was supposed to hit theatres on Diwali, now would be released during Christmas.

"The film would be released on December 25, and we felt that we should reveal the promo on Diwali (festival of lights), which is why we invited all of you to see the promo on Diwali. I hope that you all liked it. This is my first action film in real sense, it is out and out a mainstream entertainer, which I am doing after a long gap. I hope that people like it, we've really worked hard on the film and on this auspicious day I'd like to wish you a very happy Diwali," he said.

Aamir is seen with his new six-pack abs in the promo, for which the talented actor has worked very hard.

The film is said to be inspired by Christopher Nolan's much acclaimed movie "Memento", where the protagonist suffers from anterograde amnesia (short term memory loss) and seeks revenge for his wife's murder.

Khan was in news recently for his successful directorial debut with 'Taare Zameen Par' (Stars on Earth).

His first appearance on the silver screen was as a child actor in his Uncle Nasir Hussain's film 'Yaadon Ki Baaraat' way back in 1973.

Khan's career started eleven years later with the film, 'Holi' in1984. But his first commercial success came with his cousin Mansoor Khan's film 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' in 1988.
