Karishma Kapoor in ZAMAANAT

Zamaanat is a Hindi Movie released in 2009. It is written by Prayag Raj and Om Shree while directed by S. Ramanathan. The story is typical love bond between rich girl and poor guy the same old worn out theme which now makes the audience repelled from the cinema. A tragedy with Karishma I will say as she was running for her lover to bring him out from jail in year 1991 in her debut film and still in her half fresh (being released in 2009) film Zamaanat she is once again sought for an advocate to bring her lover out from the jail. Hahahah….!

The story begins with the love play of Suraj (Arshad Warsi) and Kajol (Karishma Kapoor) but zalim baap denies her love and selects Sunil (Ayub Khan). She protests but Sunil being jealous brings doom on Suraj by killing his mother and pretends him to be a murderer of his own mother. What a dilemma!!!

A wearied coincidence that the advocate whose help Kajol sought has faced the same situation once in his life. He is now blind and losing all hopes for life when a lover called upon him he cannot ignore for long. He takes back his position in the court and proves his skills to be a best advocate by winning the case and winning bail (zamaanat) of Suraj. He accomplishes his duty with full responsibility and for sure he is only reason for the film being watched otherwise film has no scope. Arshad is also not a good choice an always ghunda type actor cannot win the audience approval as a sincere lover. We do believe that he could kill his own mother and our ears were ready to listen that truth which was actually not. In fact Arshad needs to come up with substantial role in which he should get chance to prove his caliber of being a hero and sure he has the skill to be. Just a need for right click on right time.

Karishma Kapoor should be sensible enough to select a movie after such a long duration. After all she is an experienced actress. She should consider this thing that spectators could give a watch to Prem Qaidi as her teenage film and convinced for her obstinate behavior in front of her father for the sake of love but not in this one. This is not that age when we fall in love with the person who has nothing to live and desperate for a good life. It could be a time pass or a temporary emotional phase whose color fade soon.

Like love is not easy for her success is also not. She is on the Bollywood screen for nearly 20 years yet her success level is average. I would like to say we become habitual of seeing her otherwise she is not worthy enough. Her screeching dialogues, weeping drama like crocodile's tears are disgusting to spoil the mood. She should better come with original acting.
